Multiple blog pages, slider background color, header image mobile cropping

    Hello,

    I really like the layout of the Natural theme and I think it will work well for my travel agency, especially the featured pages section on the homepage. I would like to be able to post blogs to specific pages, rather than all on one, general blog page. This would allow me to separate the content in a way the customer could search more easily (they don’t have to search through trips aboard and travel tips to find an NHL tour package.) Is there a way to publish specific posts on a certain page, and other post on a different page, without them all being on one general page?

    If what I am trying to ask is not explained well, let me know and I will try again.

    I do have a couple questions about customizing this theme as well, and I believe it will need to be in the form of CSS help.
    1) I am trying to change the border/background/frame of the content slider. Most of my pictures are darker, and with a white background, I am having a difficult time finding a font color legible on both the background and the images.
    2)When viewed from a smartphone, the header image crops and realigns to the left, rather than staying centered and simply resizing. Since I have my logo embedded in the image, this becomes a problem because it is no longer fully visible. Is there a way to force the image to resize only and not crop?

    Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you soon.
    Angie

    The blog I need help with is destinationsdoneright.wordpress.com.

    Hello!

    It’s not possible to have multiple blog pages, but you can setup posts in different categories and then set those categories to your menu. For example, https://naturaldemo.wordpress.com/category/category/, this page in the menu is where we’ve added the ‘category’ category and it displays any posts we’ve assigned to that category.

    Let’s review the other questions:

    1) You can change the border color of the content slider with the following CSS:

    .flexslider,
    .flex-control-nav,
    .flex-direction-nav li a {
        background: #000;
    }

    Edit these as required.

    2) The image is set to display as a background, so it’s not necessarily ideal to have it need to display in a specific way across device. However the following should help you get a better display:

    @media only screen and (max-width: 767px) {
        #custom-header .header-img {
            min-height: 125px;
         }
    }

    Thank you!

    Thank you for explaining how the category pages work. They will work perfectly for what I had in mind!

    I solved the issue I had with the embedded logo by finding a way to remove the background of my logo. Previous options would not load properly on WordPress and that is why I had used one image.

    The edit for the slider border worked perfectly as well. Thank you so much for all the help!

    I did notice that my header menu has partially different font in the mobile display and does not change color with the link font color (I used the CSS from one of the other posts.) Is it possible I did something wrong when I was adding the CSS I have used?

    Hello!

    The mobile menu has different styling so you’ll want to try the following:

    @media only screen and (max-width: 767px) {
        .mobile-menu a {
            color: #494949 !important;
            font-family: 'Montserrat', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
        }
    }

    That should match it to the main font. You can add the text-decoration to make it uppercase if you also want this.

    Let me know if there’s anything else.

    Thanks!
