Moving Theme to new blog site

    Hi we are in the process of moving our blog from wordpress.com to internal servers. Right now it is in QA (behind a firewall) I am able to export the xml files but when I go to import them, nothing happens I get a blank screen and the option for the headline theme is not there. I have looked around wordpress.com for answers but cannot find any help on this. Should I be able to import and use? Thank you.

    Hi there,

    Thank you for your question. I’d like to help.

    Unfortunately your Headlines theme here on WP.com will not work on a WordPress.org install as it’s not the same theme.

    You’ll need to purchase Headlines from WooThemes.com if you’d like to use this on a .org install.

    Also, sounds like a server issue, possible running out of PHP memory with the blank screen running the WP.com import.

    I would turn on WP Debug:

    http://codex.wordpress.org/WP_DEBUG

    Unfortunately this is beyond what I can help you with though here on WordPress.com support.
