move theme from blog on wordpress.com to /wp site

    I purchased shelf through my free blog on WordPress.com. I now have a paid site with a /wp extension. How can I move this theme from the free blog account to my new paid site account??

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there,

    To clarify, are you trying to move from WordPress.com to a self-hosted WordPress.org site? Or, are you trying to drop ‘wordpress.com’ from your site’s domain name?

    I am so confused by the different WordPress sites. I moved content from my free blog to my hosted website (through LunarPages) using WordPress. I would like to move the theme Shelf as well if possible from the free blog to the website’s blog.
    Does that help clarify?
    And what is the difference between WordPress.org’s forum and WordPress.com’s forum??

    Hi again :)

    There’s two versions of Shelf. You’ll want to purchase the version sold on our site for self-hosted WordPress.org sites. You’re currently using the WordPress.com version.

    Be sure to read through this article detailing the difference between WordPress.com and WordPress.org.

    So because I switched from WordPress.com to WordPress.org hosted by Lunar Pages, I have to purchase a different version of “Shelf?” Another $68.00? Bummer.
    Maybe you can also help me figure out how where to put the HTML code that Lunar pages gave me to redirect from Lunar Pages to my WordPress site? The person who convinced me to change to this is no longer available to help me. I’m a bit overwhelmed. Or maybe direct me to where to find the information?

    Correct; you can also request a full refund up to 30 days from your purchase.

    Could you please provide us with the code you’re referring to, so we can take a look? I have a feeling, though, using this code isn’t possible on the WordPress.com platform.

    Hi again! I just wanted to let you know that the code was actually for my host provider, Lunar Pages and I am all set up now. My friend (the graphic artist) informed me that in a .org site, I cannot have one page in one theme, and the blog posts in another. Guess I’m saying goodbye to shelf as my .com version was bought many months ago. Thanks for your help.
