Move old blog posts to different page

    Hi,

    I would like a clean front page, without all the old blog posts. I would like to have only the three feature stories on front page, and than move all the old once to a different page, called blog. So, how do I move them?

    The blog I need help with is erikmartiniussen.com.

    Hi there,

    Thanks for using Maxwell.

    You can create two new static pages for "Home" and "Blog". You can then use the front page settings of WordPress to set your new Home Page as front page, and the Blog page as the posts page.

    Then your front page will only show the featured posts and the page content, while the Blog page shows your other blog posts.

    You can find the Front Page Settings on Customize > Static Front Page. Please also see this tutorial: https://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/front-page/

    While doing this, all my content dissapeared from my page. I did pay 69$ for this page, so please help me out here??

    What is the point in paying so much, if nowone kan help me out? All my posts are gone from front page here.

    It includes step by step instructions how you can configure the front page, and set up an extra Posts Page.

    Yes. It did not help me. My question was not about making a new static homepage, it is a question about how to move old blog posts to a new page.

    I did try to make a new static homepage, but the result was just that all my old blog posts disappeared. I want a new page for the old posts, before I make a new static home page. Second, I want featured sorties to be visible on the new static homepage.

    Thanks for the explanation, I understand know what you are trying to achieve.

    I'm sorry to tell you that the featured posts are only displayed on the blog index. That means it is not possible with the theme to display your old blog posts and the featured posts on different pages.

    You can only use the front page settings to show your latest blog posts (and featured posts) on a new page instead of the front page if you want.
