I am using this template for a travel blog, not a wedding because I love the layout. Is there a way to change the menu from the top right corner to a bar under the header? Also, my header seems to have a lot of white space – is there a way to either add photos or reduce the white space?

The blog I need help with is bcarriedaway.com.

    Hello,

Is there a way to change the menu from the top right corner to a bar under the header?

It may be possible via CSS tweaks but i will recommend the default settings of menu. As menu is placed here by keeping several things in mind like responsive layout etc

Also, my header seems to have a lot of white space – is there a way to either add photos or reduce the white space?

I think, you have uploaded your logo via Custom Header so, it is in place of Custom Header. Please follow the simple steps to upload your logo and it will solve your problem,

Go to Appearance > Customize > Theme Options
Now, upload your log via built-in media uploader and the header of your blog will look like this,

    Wedding Theme Logo Option

You’re awesome! That worked! Any way to move that top menu so it’s a n actual menu bar under the header? Some people may not know it’s a header. Love this template!

    Hello,
Thanks for the feedback and showing your love for Wedding WordPress theme.

Design elements in the header of Wedding theme are,

    1. Site Title & Description OR Logo

It is the top most portion of the theme. It will help to standout your Brand name and logo at top in different responsive layouts.

    2. Custom Menu

Custom Menu appears at the Top Right corner of the website. It is sticky menu and will appear ONLY while the upward movement of scroll. So, this logic helps to keep the layout clean and gives an easy access to all portions of your site.

    3. Custom Header (Featured Image Header as well)

Custom Header is below the Logo portion to beautify your blog. It handles Featured Image Header as well, so you may place different headers at different pages.

    Now Your Question:

Any way to move that top menu so it’s a n actual menu bar under the header? Some people may not know it’s a header. Love this template!

I am unable to understand which Top Menu, you are referring. There is no menu bar under the header.

I hope above description of Wedding Top section will be helpful to you. Please also visit to Wedding Theme Documentation for further help,

Thanks. I was wondering if there was a way to identify the top right as a menu bar – it’s not clearly evident that it’s a menu and I’m afraid people won’t know to click on it. I was suggesting creating a new standard format menu bar under the header. Or last adding copy to show that those three horizontal lines are a menu.

    Hello,

Thanks. I was wondering if there was a way to identify the top right as a menu bar – it’s not clearly evident that it’s a menu and I’m afraid people won’t know to click on it.

I understand your concern. We implement standard icons on our themes. THREE HORIZONTAL LINES are standard for Menu representation on the modern web and for the mobile menus. So people know about this standard.

Secondly, it is very prominent and cannot be ignored as a menu.

Or last adding copy to show that those three horizontal lines are a menu.

We have noted this point and will discuss with our engineers.

Once again thanks for your feedback and love to our theme.
