    I am trying to modify the footer to add a Copyright, and add a navigation bar for certain pages. I cannot see where I can add these to the footer, even though the sample of the home page clearly shows it can be done

    We have just released an update to the theme, which will allow users to change the footer text within the customizer options. However, this may take a few days to see the change as all updates must undergo a review and release process by WordPress.com.

    To add a navigation bar in the footer widget area, go to Customize > Widgets > Footer Widgets > Add A Widget, and select the Navigation Menu widget.
