Menus don’t work on mobile site
Currently running Lenscap theme but when I view my site on a mobile device (iphone SE running iOS 11.2.2, using safari) the menus dissapear from the footer, and the main menu, won’t link to anywhere.
I was advised by wordpress to switch off the jet pack mobile section, so my site looks more like the desktop, but still the menu does not click anywhere.
Any suggestions? It’s affection readership of my site, because visitors can’t get anywhere.

I keep hitting a 500 internal server error on your site. I’m going to ping the WP.com team to see if they might know what’s going on.
Hi Jade – I had to deactivate your Amazon Associates Link Builder plugin, which was causing the 500 internal server error on mobile devices that Mike was seeing. (If you’d like to report it to he plugin developer, the specific error was “Error in maxmind_db_manager:get_db::WP_ERROR: forbidden”)
Mike, you should now be able to view the site on mobile to look at the menu issue.
Thanks for that, but I was seeing the website, I wasn’t getting a 500 internal server error so not sure why you had that.
I’ll await further news regarding menus.
Uness you’ve just done something in the background, I seem to have just fixed this myself. Which is a huge relief.
SO under the WP admin > appearance > menus >
At the top of the page is a little tab marked ‘Screen Options’
I noticed the podcast page wasn’t ticked (amongst a few other unused pages) and as soon as I ticked the podcast page, then the menu worked on mobile.
It seems theres an extra sneaky setting that you have to say which page types or post types including shop pages, projects, testimonials etc you want the menu to appear on.
Because I have a podcast page, which was on the main menu, but it wasn’t ticked for the menu to appear on the podcast page (according to the backend setup) then this was causing a conflict.

If you still want to use the Amazon plugin, you could contact the plugin developer to let them know about the internal server error, and see if it’s something they’re aware of and plan to fix.
Otherwise, you could look into an alternative plugin. I noticed this one has quite low ratings from other users (2.5/5) so another plugin might be advisable.
