menu & submenu on mobile device

RE viewing site on a smart phone: The header menu & also the submenu under “artists & craftspeople” are ALL listed when I click the “menu icon” on the home page when on a smart phone.

The menu shows up correctly on the laptop & tablet – that is I only see the submenu list of people when I click the menu item for the page “artists & craftspeople”. Probably because it doesn’t involve the Menu Icon but rather the actual words.

Important because on a mobile device you’d need to scroll down through the submenu list of 14 people to get to the links for important pages like “contact” & “about”.

    Hi Gail,

In the mobile menu, all menu items will display whether they are sub-menu items or the parent items. You can hide these with CSS if you preferred, but then they won’t display at all. It might be necessary to reconsider how the menu is setup.

    Thanks!

Thanks for your response — when you say how the menu is set up do you mean reorder the items or is there some other approach we should consider?

    Hi Gail,

Sorry that was unclear. I meant you could either put the menu item with all the sub-menu items as your last item in the menu, or otherwise create a specific page that would list all the artists instead of having them in the menu. This way your mobile menu would be easier to navigate. Does that make more sense?

    Thanks!

It makes perfect sense — I chose the reorder option.

    Thank you
