Menu location, extra menu, superflous titles

    So I would like my menu to be ONLY on the left side. However

    1. when I view my page, the menu jumps to the top. When I visit my page it’s back to where it belongs. As long as it’s published on the left hand side, that’s not a problem. But it’s pretty irritating.

    2. As soon as I click through the pages, a kind of location tracking menu pops up underneath the header. Is there a way to get rid of that?

    3. And while we’re at it, is there a way to get rid of the humongous titles displayed on each page? When I click on “kontakt” the resulting page doesn’t have to start with “Kontakt”. I clicked it, I know where I am… But obviously I cant delete the title, because then it wouldn’t show up on the menu..

    1) The menu will move to the top of the page when the page is narrow (for example on mobile phones). The reason for this is that there’s not enough space to keep the left hand menu in place. If it were kept there then the rest of the content would become too squashed.

    2) Do you mean the menu that shows the homepage, and then the path to the current page? If so then those are called breadcrumbs. You can hide them with some custom css:

    .entry-breadcrumbs { display: none; }

    3) You can hide page titles with the following custom css:

    .page .content-single article .entry-title { display: none; }
