Hi! I am considering switching to this theme. When I looked thru the demo, and clicked on the facebook and twitter buttons, they took you away from the site instead of leaving you on the site and popping FB / TW in a new browser window. Is there an option to have these pop up in a new browser window when clicked?

    Hi,

Nope, I think what you mean is sharing icons which can be enabled through Settings -> Sharing individually on each post. The theme icons are only to link users to your facebook and twitter pages.

    Thanks,

Thanks! Actually I’m not referring to sharing posts. I’d love for my website to have FB and TW buttons that when you click on them, my FB and my TW pop up in a separate window, for a viewer to look at. But I don’t want people directed away from my site. I remember that with the custom theme I am using currently, I had to put my FB and TW buttons somewhere else on my page (I put them in an image widget with outgoing links) but I loved how your site looks with them as part of the menu bar, and would have loved if they could send to a separate browser window. Hope I am making sense?

    Thanks!

Can you refer me to that theme? I am not sure if this can really be done in WordPress.com.

I think you are right, that this can’t be done in wordpress. I just sure like how sites look with the icons right there in the menu bar :) Here’s my current site & how I did my icons. http://www.dianeluna.com. We can close this topic if you like

    Thanks for the help!
