Menu colours issue and dropdown menu not working on mobile

    Hi there,

    We are experiencing two issues with our menu:

    1. We have changed the colours of our primary navigation menu to be our brand green. We have also created a dropdown menu under ‘About’, which we’ve set to be coloured a lighter version of our brand green, with text coloured our brand grey. The hover colour is our brand green.

    However, when you click into one of the dropdown links under About, the menu styling changes to be black, with the drop down text white and hover colour black. How can we stop this from happening?

    2. On mobile, the dropdown About menu displays unfolded, which may be confusing for some people as the ‘About’ primary navigation link itself is not clickable. Can we change this to be folded with an arrow next to ‘About’ to indicate that it’s a dropdown? This would mean people would click on About and the full menu of other options could drop down.

    Thanks,
    Koren

    Sorry, I accidentally chose the wrong ‘blog I need help with’ link. It’s actually https://saurbanfood.org/.

    Thanks,

    Hello,

    Use the following CSS to change the color of those visited menu items:

    #navigation .menu li.current-menu-ancestor a {
      background: #fff;
    }

    I hope that helps! I’m looking into the second issue for you..

    Hi Koren, regarding mobile parent items not being clickable…

    This seems to be an issue localized to your site – we can’t replicate the problem in any other testing site using the theme. The issue could have something to do with the site being in test mode and being logged into the admin. Or, it could have something to do with some style customizations that were added to the site. In order to properly diagnose it, we’d need to be able to view the site published.

    You could also reach out to general WordPress.com support to see if they’re able to diagnose the issue, since they would have access to the back end of your site. It does not appear to be theme related, so having WP.com general support team trouble shoot the issue on the back end my be the best course of action.

    Let me know how we can assist further. Thank you!

    Emily
