media query for portfolio on mobile phones

Add topic to favorites
My portfolios are in 3 columns. They are responsive for laptops and iPads but they look horrendous on phones… the captions overlaps. I centered captions in the CSS but I did not change the width. Can you give me the code to switch the layout from 3 columns to 2 columns (or even 1) on smartphones. the site is miamiwriterportfolio.com… thanks… BTW I removed the types from displaying on this page… but I will use it on other pages///

Perhaps you mentioned the wrong site. Here’s what I see when I go to these sites:

http://miamiwriterportfolio.com/ – Requires login
http://miamicopywriter.wordpress.com/ – Currently has the Writr theme
