    Hi,

    I am very happy with Paulie (please have a look on sqldesign.blog) but the main menu has been replaced by a button with three lines. I would like to come back with the list.

    What to do ?

    Thank you,
    (email redacted)

    The blog I need help with is sqldesign.blog.

    Hi there!
    Thanks for writing and using Paulie :)

    Yes, the three lines icon is the hamburger icon which appears on small devices such as phones and tablets (resolution < 1200px) to enable the responsive navigation menu.

    If you want to have the full menu in these resolutions, add this CSS:

    .menu-toggle {
        display: none;
    }
    .main-navigation {
        display: block !important;
        text-align: center;
        padding-bottom: 0;
    }
    .nav-menu {
        position: relative;
    }
    .nav-menu li {
        display: inline-block;
        position: relative;
        text-align: center;
        margin-right: -4px;
        vertical-align: top;
    }
    .nav-menu li a {
        color: #000;
        display: block;
        padding: 1px 14px 9px;
        font-size: 11px;
        font-size: 0.6875rem;
        text-decoration: none;
        text-transform: uppercase;
        margin: 0;
        position: relative;
        -webkit-transition: .1s all linear;
        -moz-transition: .1s all linear;
        -o-transition: .1s all linear;
        transition: .1s all linear;
        border: none;
        font-weight: 400;
        background-color: transparent;
        border-top: 2px solid transparent;
        margin-top: 6px;
    }
    .nav-menu li a:focus, .nav-menu li a:hover, .nav-menu .current_page_item>a, .nav-menu .current-menu-item>a {
        background-color: transparent !important;
    }
    .navbar {
        height: auto;
        padding: 20px 0 20px;
    }

    Thank you!

    Again a question : to change the color of the strings in the header ?

    I took a palette that is perfect for me but the title is too dark.

    Thanks

    Nice to help you!

    Yes, it is true, we need a lighter color there. Add this CSS and customise your color:

    #page .site-title a, #page .site-description {
        color: #fff;
    }
    #page .site-description:before {
        border-color: #fff;
    }

    Let us know if it did not work :)
    Thanks,

    Thanks !
    Another question : the strings in the header flickert each time i click.
    How to solve it ?
    Perhaps i would use the native fonts of Paulie ?
    Which is the name of those fonts ?

    Hi there,

    yes, unfortunately this is the default behaviour with custom fonts in WordPress.com. Here you are more info about this and a solution to avoid the flickering:
    https://premium-themes.forums.wordpress.com/topic/page-font-starts-on-default-then-flickers-to-custom/

    Paulie uses Montserrat for titles. You can deactivate custom fonts in Appearance > Custom Fonts: https://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-fonts/

    Hope this helps :)

    It works fine with Default theme font.

    But
    .wf-loading body {
    visibility: hidden;
    }
    does not work.

    By the way, could it be possible to change the Default theme font.

    And again thanks a lot.

    It is my second contact with a wordpress geek and i am very happy.

    I will advice wordpress to everybody !

    And my friends find Paulie very nice !

    A good solution :

    in css, i added :

    body {
    font-family: Ubuntu, sans-serif;
    }

    the posts are in ubuntu font and there is no more flickering !

    it’s ok for me !

    Be blessed !

    Yes it is a good solution.

    Some users can still experiment flickering the first time access your site, then the download the Ubuntu font and when they navigate no more flickering. Good solution :)

    Thanks and have a nice day.

    Dear,

    I would like that the Footer Credit shows the name of your theme !

    Everybody finds this theme very nice !

    And to delete the two lines between the Site Title and the Tagline.

    How to do?

    Hi there,

    Footer Credit Options are listed here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/footer-credits/ Unfortunately I believe there is no option to feature the theme you are using…

    Nice to know your visitors like the theme :)

    Add this CSS to delete the two lines:

    #page .site-description:before {
        content: none;
    }

    Hope this helps :)
