Layout Questions (CSS/sidebar/footer)

    Hello! I just switched to the Jason Theme today and so far I’m loving it. I have a couple questions to further edit the theme to suit my newly launched blog ><.

    1. Is it possible to make the sidebar static? I’d prefer to have it stay in one place while scrolling down the blog, rather than having a static bar at the top of the page. If that’s possible, is there a way of removing the navigation bar?

    2. Is it possible to add a full-width footer at the bottom of the blog? It would be good to have a small grid of other blog posts visible there, possibly with one specific feature tag, for example, + other small widgets. *I realise that might not be possible at all at this time; if that’s the case, are you planning any future theme updates where a footer could be enabled?*

    3. How could I decrease the white space in between the widgets in CSS?

    4. Is there a way of separating blog post date and category list? I’d love to have them in two lines, with the date at the top of categories. Would it be possible to center/justify them? Alternatively, it is possible to remove the category list from the top of the blog post, and leave just the tag list at the very bottom?

    Thank you!

    1. I see what you’d like to do but I’m afraid that this kind of change cannot be done. I tried to apply some tricks to the sidebar but all I did was break a couple things. I’m afraid that the sidebar area can be used this way, staying at the top of the page.

    2. As I understand from your message, you’d like to add related posts at the bottom of the page. In this case, have you tried to use this feature?

    3. I think you can add this CSS:

    .widget {
        margin-bottom: 0;

    to your website to make the space between widgets be smaller.

    4. Last but not least, the date and category separation. Can you attach a link to the page where you’d like to do this change, please? This way I can easily understand what you’d like to change and try to point you to the right solution.
