Images on Featured posts
-
Hello,
I just purchased the Bromley theme and want to start featuring posts. For some reason, the images I have added to my sample posts do not appear, but rather there is just a blank space with the name of the posts appearing on my front page.
I bought this theme because of the visual component options, please help me learn how to display images correctly.
Thanks,
Alice.

Hi – you need to set the images as featured images and not just add them to the post. You can read about how to do this here:

Hi Binarymoon, Ben,
I really like the theme. Just purchased it yesterday, awesome!
However, I noticed that if my post has photos that hyperlinked to my photography website (zenfolio), the photo is not automatically set up as “featured image” of the article. It did not happened on previous theme I used. Any advise? Should I upload the photo to wordpress to create feature image? I would like to avoid that if possible. This is the sample of post that I mentioned –

Hi – Really pleased you’re liking the theme :)
If you want photos to appear on the archive pages of your site then they need to be hosted on the site itself and not linked from a different website. They also need to be set as featured images. There’s info on featured images here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/featured-images/
What was the previous theme you used that did this automatically?

Hi,
Thanks for your prompt reply! OK, it did not bother me so much but I did not have this problem when using Fontfolio theme – it is a free theme. Somehow the linked photo (from zenfolio.com) was automatically showed up as featured image…
cheers, Indah

Thanks for the link – I can’t promise anything but I will have a look at Fontfolio and see if I can learn what they did :)
