images

  • I would like the images inserted in my posts to also appear on the menu slider (next to the post titles) without having those same images appear in the header. So far, the only way I can see to have the image appear on the slider is to also have it appear in the header. I would appreciate any help with this.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • I am trying to accomplish the same thing. Any help would be most appreciated. Thanks!

  • Hey there,

I’m not quite sure what you’re referring to, but I know that Traction uses the “Featured Image” in 3 locations – the slider, on the post page itself, and on the home page next to the post.

The only way to change how this displays is by purchasing the Custom CSS upgrade – with that, you can hide the image from one place or the other.

Would hiding one of the image locations solve your issue? Let me know!

  • I am having the same issue. I am not skilled enough to do CSS which is why I purchased a premium theme!
When I select a feature image to show it on the right slider bar… that image shows twice in the feature section. This is crazy.
ALSO, when we have a gallery of pics… how do we not show those in the feature slider?

The site bounces up and down because there are more pics in one post. Not user friendly. Can I get a refund for this and try another theme???

  • Hey there,

It sounds like you may be inserting your image into the post content itself, rather than just setting it as the Featured Image. See this image indicating the button you need to click to set a Featured Image – you don’t want to also click the “Insert into post” button.

I think your slider issues will be solved if you make use of the more tag in your post content, before the gallery itself.

If you have any further questions, let me know – you’re definitely able to get another theme if you’d like, but I have a feeling your problems may be similar – you’ll need to adjust your content for a theme in most cases, which is what you’ll have to do for this theme as well.

If you still would like a refund, go ahead and start a new thread in these forums with a title “Request for refund” and the WordPress.com staff will handle that for you. Thanks!
