Image Sizing

    We are working on developing a website for our school district to showcase different projects. Currently we are having issues with image sizing. What are the appropriate dimensions for different pictures. I am posting links to show what we are experiencing.

    Hi there – thanks for the message and sorry this isn’t clear enough.

    In general I would suggest uploading the largest images you can and WordPress will take care of the resizing and cropping for you. However if the image is smaller than 550 x 367 then it won’t be cropped and will display as you have shown in your screenshots.

    Note that the theme works best with landscape aspect ratios, portrait ones will have the top and bottom cut off.

    If all of your featured images are larger than the size above then the images will fit in a nice grid – however the grid may break if you don’t have a featured image since the post title may be too big or too small for the grid pattern and so the posts will be shifted around.
