Image at top

  • I want to have a permanent image at the top of the blog and the menu there as well. It seems that this is only possible on smaller screens like ipad. On the desktop screen the menu goes to the left and the image I add goes there as well in a minuscule size like a thumbprint.
Is there a way to have a full-width image at the top on full size screen?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi!

I’m afriad, this is not something that can be done out of the box.

You could probably manage to achieve this effect by using the “Custom Design” upgrade and some custom coding.

Please note, that unfortunately, we can’t offer such extensive customization support.

  • Hi!

Funnily enough, at the moment the blog looks exactly like I want it to look with my chosen image at the top, full size. I’m sitting at my office computer. Now I’m curious to see if this is the case on my home desk top as well.

Next I’ll tackle the slider. First time I tried it only picked the titles of the artcles but no photos.

The best way to learn to do things is through trial and error.

  • Hi,

    That’s good to hear!

Let me know, if you will need further assistance.

  • Hi again,

Sorted out the problem. It is the resolution of the monitor that dictates how the end-result looks like.
The ideal resolution for my home monitor puts the headers, the image and the menu to the left side of the page, all in very small size.
If I change the resolution “one size” down, all of the above moves to the top and becomes full-size/width.

Just in case somebody else is facing the same challenge.

Anyhow, I am very pleased with the theme.
