MemberHi,
For some reason, I’m having trouble using a side note. I want the side note to be on the same lines as my general text, but my general text keeps going under my sidenotes, as if it were its own paragraph. It’s on the side, just not parallel. What am I missing?
I changed my blog url: girlbeyond.com
Thank you!
Erica

Theme AuthorHey Erica!
Thanks for getting in touch – I’m not sure the theme supports WordPress sidenotes, but I’ll list it as a possible issue for our development team to look into!
Hi Calvin,
It shows it as an option in the post area under the Editor Formats, plus it touts it as a feature in the Pixel Union manual: http://support.pixelunion.net/article/50-bindery-theme-manual
Is there something I am missing? Still trying to sort all this out. Perhaps while I have your attention, you might be able to point me in the right direction for adding social media share buttons at the bottom of my posts. I’m sure this is easier than I am making it out to be, but I can’t seem to find a detailed article on how to do this.
It is referenced in the article above, but I’m not sure where the “social links menu” is. I’m green, but trying to learn quick.
Thank you for your time!

Theme AuthorHey Erica!
Sorry about that, looks like you are looking at the wordpress.org documentation – The .com version of the theme is a little different. You can add sidenotes to your text by embedding it inside
tags like this:This text will be formatted as a Sidenote.
Here’s a link to the .com docs – https://theme.wordpress.com/themedoc/bindery/
Let me know if you get stuck!
Hi Calvin,
So it turns out I am WordPress.org. Still curious why it isn’t working for me. Thoughts?

Theme AuthorHey Erica!
Hmm, this forum is for .com installs specifically though, do you possibly have separate accounts?
Thanks,
Hi Calvin,
I sorted it out. I didn’t realize this forum was for just .com. Thank you for all your patience. As I go along I’m getting a little better at understanding the framework of wordpress, but there is definitely a learning curve and I certainly appreciate your help.
Hope you have a wonderful day!
