How to turn off slight fade of images

    This is a minor detail, but I wonder whether there is a way to turn off the slightly faded appearance of images on the front page. I guess the idea of this faded look is to have the images pop in color/contrast when the mouse passes over them, just as the post title appears appears, and that works nicely. However, this means that the first impression of the home page is one of slightly drab, faded images.

    So, I wonder whether there is a way to turn off the fade effect, while still leaving in the effect of the title appearing as on overlay with a mouseover. This would restore the richness of the color/contrast of images on the home page and, I think, make a better first impression.

    Thanks in advance!

    Oops! I messed up the title, and there doesn’t seem to be a way to edit it. It should say:

    “How to turn off slight fade of images”

    Hi – there – you can remove this with the following css:

    .main .post-archive article.post-has-thumbnail .thumbnail {
    opacity:1;
    }

    I’ve corrected the post title as well :)

    In the Dashboard, it is under Appearance > Customize > CSS. You must have the Custom Design upgrade in order to be able to access it:

    Thanks for your answer!
    I didn’t purchased the Custom Design.. only the theme and the domain name. So it’s impossible without this purchase ?

    I think it requires that purchase, but I’m not 100% certain.

    Hi – @zlatkobatistich is correct, you need the custom design upgrade to do make this change.
