I want a slideshow (or video) to ‘automatically’ display at device-width (not browser width) fullscreen.

Is this possible in Portrait theme, maybe by using some CSS?

( I’m a relative novice at CSS, coding, etc., but believe that something like this can be done this way.
Or is there plug-in, or any other way, to do it? ).

btw, am still liking your Portrait theme v much. Thanks
( Pls note, should you look, my site is still very much work-in-progress)

Hi Jahnni – Thanks for the message. I am really pleased to hear you like Portrait! :)

I’m afraid that I don’t think what you want isn’t possible on wordpress.com without a custom plugin – and I don’t know if there’s any plugins that do this anyway (there may well be, but I don’t know of any).

To use plugins on WordPress.com you need to be subscribed to the business plan.

If you set up a gallery on WordPress.com then it will automatically create a slideshow when you click on one of the images. Would this help?

If you have this setup then we may be able to make it fill more of the screen with some custom css, but there are limits to what we can do there.

    Thanks – Ben
