    Hello,

    How do I add a dark/black shadow to the title, excerpt and “learn more” button on the homepage sliders? Currently they are blending in with my slider image and I want them to “pop out” a little more.

    Thanks!

    Hello!

    You can add a shadow to the information section on the slideshow with the following CSS in the Custom CSS add-on:

    .slideshow .text-center {
        background: #333;
        padding: 15px 0px 15px 0px;
    }

    Feel free to edit the padding as desired although it won’t really cover less than the area it is covering with that. You can add an rgba color instead of the hex code for better display.

    Thanks!

    That CSS code just adds a solid box behind the text. Is there a way to add a smooth, transparent shadow to the actual text (i.e. slider titles, excerpt)??

    Let me know. Thanks!!

    Hello,

    Using an rgba color instead of the hex code will make it more transparent. However, if you are looking to only add it to each section of text individually it would not give you an ideal look because of how the excerpt text area would be covered.

    The ideal is just to replace to color code above with something like the following:

    background: rgba(0,0,0,0.5);

    You could also try adding a border radius so it’s not so square.

    Thanks,

    Rebecca
