How stupid have I been?

    So, I bought the WordPress personal plan. I saw that it offers only those themes that are useless for me. I went ahead and bought the MH Magazine theme (which I later found out are two versions, MH Magazine for WordPress and then the other one). I just bought the theme last night and haven’t worked on it much, but is there a great difference between the MH Magazine theme available via WordPress and the one that’s available on their site?

    Hi,

    when it comes to WordPress, then it’s very important to understand the difference between WordPress.com and a self-hosted WordPress website. Here you can learn more about that: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

    If your site is hosted on WordPress.com, then you can only use the WordPress themes that are available here in the shop. This isn’t related in any way to what you may see on other websites that have products for a regular self-hosted WordPress website.

    For example what you can see on the MH Themes website is all for self-hosted WordPress websites, that hasn’t anything to do with WordPress.com.

    And yes, the theme you have here isn’t much related to the version for self-hosted websites. There are many differences in design and functionality.

    Well okay, I can live with this. I came to WordPress because I wanted a cheap backup option. When I sell my site to a VC for $1000000000000 I will remember this post.

    One question, the spotlight plugin seems to show only one story, even after selecting the category?

    That widget is supposed to display only one post and not multiple posts.
