  Hi there – thanks for the message.

  The theme documentation is here: https://wordpress.com/theme/portrait/setup

  The section you need is titled ‘featured content’. The steps you should follow are:

  1. Navigate to Customize → Featured Content.
  2. Enter a tag name for the featured posts – make sure it’s unique and isn’t used anywhere else. « Featured posts » works well.
  3. Edit the posts that you want to display in the Featured Content area, and give them the tag you have just chosen.
  4. The Featured Content slideshow will display the five most recent posts with this tag.
