    Hi,

Got your theme activated and I think I must be missing something.

I want to get the featured (sticky) blog post to appear like your “The Recorded Voice Scratched in the Speaker” blog post does.

I notice the support page says that the first ‘”featured” blog post will appear in that spot (outlined yellow) and all others will appear under the “editor’s choice” (or what ever label is set in the theme settings).

I’ve followed this and just can’t seem to get the featured blog posts to appear like you have (in particular with the background on the first bleeding thru).

The blog posts all appear as normal blog posts do in your theme, except they contain a block to the side of them saying “Featured”.

    Am I missing something?

The blog I need help with is memoirsofachan.com.

Thank you for using the Vivaro theme!

Setting a post as sticky does not make it appear in the featured area you describe, at least not in the Vivaro theme.

Although I do understand the confusion, as setting a post as sticky adds the vertical “Featured” banner and removes the date, that doesn’t necessarily place it in the featured area.

To quote the Vivaro setup guide:

To designate a post as “featured,” first navigate to the Featured Content panel of the Customizer and enter the name of a tag. For best results, make sure your selected tag is assigned to at least five posts.

So basically, you need to tag your featured posts with a certain tag (“featured” is common, but not required) and then designate that tag as the featured tag. This will get the latest five featured posts to show up in that area.

Let me know how that works out for you and if you have any other questions!
