Hosting my own website with the adventure theme

    Hello,

    I have reached the next step in my online career, which is to go for my own url and own hosting of my website. I have bought the theme but I cannot seem to figure out how to move this entire theme + my content to a new server. How can I do this? How can I retrieve the Css folders and all of that?

    Hi Bart,

    You’ll find more information on transferring your site here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/. I’m afraid it is not possible to transfer the theme, however. You will need to purchase a theme directly through Organic Themes (http://organicthemes.com/themes) to be able to use it on WordPress.org.

    I did buy it directly through them, I don’t know how else I could have bought it. So what do I need to do now?

    I mean, I guess so? I got an email with the invoice, and the payment was equal to the amount stated on the link you just provided.

    Hi Bart,

    To be able to use the theme on WordPress.com you would have bought it through WordPress.com. The themes are of equal value, however the setup is different which is why WP.com themes cannot be transferred to self-hosted sites.
