hiding sidebar on certain pages
-
Hi, I would like some advice on the design of pages.
We have been trying to hide the sidebar on some pages, such as the contact or about pages. I’ve hidden all the sidebar widgets on this page, but the content on the page is not centering on the whole page, so it appears that the sidebar is there, just with nothing in it. Is there a way to fix this so that content on those pages makes full use of the space available?
Thanks!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hello,
To display widgets on the desired pages you will need to use widget visibility feature. Here is the official guide how to use that: https://dailypost.wordpress.com/2013/05/28/widget-visibility/
Thank you,

Thanks, I’ve got that sorted.
The problem we are having is that this causes the content on the page not to center correctly. On the pages where we have hidden the sidebar, we would like the content to center across the whole page, whereas currently the layout is still leaving space for the sidebar (which now has nothing in it) – is there a way to fix this?
I can see this happening in the live demo, but I’m not sure how to recreate it on our site.
Thanks!

Ah, there was one widget that wasn’t being hidden properly – fixed it now and it’s working as it should be. Thanks for the help!
