Hide site title, but show logo and tagline

    I am trying to hide the site title but have the logo and tagline display. In Site Identity, you can hide/display both the title and tagline but not do so separately. Right now I have left the site title blank, but I would like to have it in the page source. I have tried this CSS:

    .site-title {
    display: none;
    }

    but it hid the title and logo.

    I saw this topic: https://premium-themes.forums.wordpress.com/topic/hide-site-title-but-show-tagline/, but when I used

    .site-title {
    height: 0;
    overflow: hidden;
    }

    it also hides the logo along with the title. What CSS can I use to have the logo and tagline display but not the site title?

    The blog I need help with is 488parkportal.com.

    Hi there,

    I can see it works fine now. Did you fix it yourself? The CSS worked on another site is for a different theme, so surely won’t work for our theme.

    Let me know.

    Thank you.

    No I haven’t. I have simply removed the site title language from site identity and have the “Display Site Title and Tagline box” checked in site identity. But I want to have the site title in site identity so it’s in the page source. Could you provide me with CSS that can hide the site title while at the same time displaying the site tagline and site logo?

    It’s for this site: https://eaglelakesailingclub.org/

    Hi there,

    Please use the following CSS via Customize > CSS:

    .site-title span:last-child {
        display: none;
    }

    Cheers.
