Hi there. I am beginning to podcast. And for wordpress to host the podcast feed, I needed to create a new category and mark all podcast posts as that category.

But! I don’t want those posts visible on the front page of my blog. It will disrupt the look and flow of the site.

Is there anyway I could create a post, label it as podcast category, and then hide it or set the main page to filter out and not show any posts within that category? (I’d prefer they only see them if they then select that category from the category drop down.)

(I tried marking them as private but then they don’t show up in the category feed, which is necessary to publish the podcast. So that’s a no-go.)

Does that make sense? Is there anyway to make that happen? Thanks!

The blog I need help with is shouldigoseeit.com.

Hi there – as far as I know there’s no way to do this on wordpress.com however I shall ask the .com team to take a look in case there’s a feature I’m not aware of.

BTW – I enjoy reading your site. I like to check in every now and then to see what I should be watching :)
