Hide featured image in single post view and menu colour issues

    Hi Taras,

    First of all, thank you very much for creating Venture, it’s been a wonderful fit to my design portfolio :).

    I have a few queries that I’m hoping you could help with:

    1. I’ve customised the theme with codes that I’ve found on the forum but recently found that the code for hiding featured image in single post view somehow isn’t working anymore. I’ve tried:

    .single-post #primary-header {
    background: none !important;
    }

    and

    .single-post #primary-header {
    background-image: none !important;
    }

    2. I’m using two different colours for the masthead that switch as I scroll down. The menu text is also in two different colours to match the backgrounds (i.e., white text on black masthead, and scrolls down to become black text on white masthead). However, I noticed that on the blog page alone, where the text should be white before I scroll down, this stays black and therefore invisible on the black background. Strangely, though, the search icon is white. Is there a way for the blog page to behave the same way as the other pages?

    3. Still related to the above, on the mobile view where the masthead is only white, the hamburger and search icons stay white but somehow only flicker black momentarily as I scroll down. Can I make it so that those icons stay black? The way it is, any visitors that see the mobile view won’t realise I have menu items to click on.

    Thank you in advance for your help and wishing you a very merry Christmas!

    The blog I need help with is luminacorn.com.

    Hello,
    Thank you for using the theme! :)

    “I’ve customised the theme with codes that I’ve found on the forum but recently found that the code for hiding featured image in single post view somehow isn’t working anymore…”
    – We’ve recently made changes to the page header section to improve performance and accessibility. Please use this custom CSS:

    .single-post #primary-header .th-featured-image {
      display: none;
    }

    “I’m using two different colours for the masthead that switch as I scroll down. The menu text is also in two different colours to match the backgrounds…”
    – The site header comes with its own styles in archive views because there is no background image in the page header section. Please try this custom CSS:

    #masthead.default-view-header:not(.scroll-header),
    #masthead.default-view-header:not(.scroll-header) a {
      color: #ffffff;
    }

    “Still related to the above, on the mobile view where the masthead is only white, the hamburger and search icons stay white but somehow only flicker black momentarily as I scroll down…”
    – The theme is using a “mobile-first” approach. So, when you’ve used a custom CSS for the site header, you’ve changed the color for all views (regular and mobile). Please add this custom CSS to change the color of the site header in mobile views:

    @media (max-width: 768px) {
      #masthead {
        color: #333333;
      }
    }

    Please let me know if you have any additional questions.

    Wishing you a fantastic Holiday and a prosperous New Year!

    All the best,
    Taras
