    Hello, my site does not have a tagline so I have no need for the double line that is meant to separate the site title from the tagline. Is there a way I can hide that double line? Thanks!

    The blog I need help with is: meanderblog.com

    Hello!
    Thank for writing and using Paulie,

    Above the Site Logo selection tools in the Customizer, you will see a checkbox labelled Display Header Text. To hide your site title, description and the double line, leaving just the logo, uncheck this box. Be sure to click Save & Publish to make it active on your site.

    Here you have more info:

    Thank you again!

    Thanks so much for your quick response, but I had already tried that. I did check to be sure, but the Display Header Text box is definitely unchecked. The double line is still present. Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Hi again!

    What a strange issue!
    The code still says that the option is checked. Let’s go to solve it:

    1. Go to the Customizer and look for the checkbox labelled Display Header Text. Check this box and click Save & Publish. Close the Customizer and visit your site. ¿Is the double bar showing? If yes, go to the Customizer and uncheck this box and click Save & Publish. Close the customizer and check again your site with a force refresh:
    https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#force-refresh
    ¿Is the double bar showing? If not, we got it! If yes, go to step 2.

    2. If step 1 doesn’t work, add the following CSS rule:

    .site-description:before {
        content: none !important;
    }

    Please, let us know if step 1 doesn’t work.

    Thank you again!

    Thanks! Step 1 didn’t work, even after the force refresh. The CSS rule did work though! There is still extra space where the bars were that I’d love to do away with, but at least the bars are gone. So odd.

    Fantastic! Nice to hear that.
    Anyway we are going to investigate this issue, we can’t reproduce the problem in our demo site. About extra space, add this CSS rule:

    .site-title, .site-description {
        display: none !important;
    }

    Thank you again!
