Hi there,
Can you go to Settings -> Media and change the large image size to be around 1400 width ? Its currently using 1024px wide image and stretching out hence its coming blur.
Thanks,
Chandra -
Hi Chandra,
I have gone Settings > Media and changed the image size to 1400px but this change appears to go unnoticed. Any other suggestions?
Cheers,
Ocean

Hi Ocean,
Not sure if we can do anything here. Now, the image sizes are 1280px which the theme has defined. We cannot edit that from css I believe.
If you don’t want to image to be spreading and bluring the image, perhaps you can use this css but note, it will introduce black areas on the sides.
.hentry { background-size: contain; }
Thanks,
Chandra -
As Chandra pointed out, the theme first reduces the image size to 1280px wide before it fills the screen, so that would need to be changed within the theme’s coding itself to a larger size. Chandra, that would be up to you to implement in the theme itself.

Hey Happiness Engineer. Thanks for the heads up. Is there nothing else we can do here? As a photographer I’ve purchased this theme especially to showcase high-red full width images. If the theme doesn’t actually allow me to do this then I’d be super disappointed. No other work arounds?

As the theme developer, Chandra can chime in on whether this is a change they’d be able to make in the theme, but there isn’t a workaround I can think of.
I understand that the theme might not suit your needs, and if you decide not to keep it, you can issue yourself a refund for up to 30 days afrer purchase (2016-07-22) if you prefer.

@kathrynwp, Can you please explain how we can increase the large size image? The image here is coming as 1280 but I have only defined 1200 so I am a bit confused. If we increase content width, it will increase in every other page as well. Changing the large image size to say 1400, doesn’t seem to work as Ocean suggested earlier. Your insight would be helpful.

Chandra, I’ll put in a ticket for this issue so you can discuss it with a theme wrangler. Please look out for it.

Please keep me updated. Will apply for refund if I haven’t heard anything by next week – but fingers crossed there’s a solution :) the design is good. Just technical speedbumps.

@kathrynwp, @siobhyb, Let me know when you create the ticket. I haven’t seen any till now. I would love to fix this issue. Thanks.

Hi Ocean,
I have committed the code fix for this and it should now pull your original image instead of cropped one. It might take sometime before the Theme Wranglers at .com review the code and publish it.
Thank you for your patience.
