Hero image zoom/crop issue

    Hi there, I am having trouble with the automatic zoom and crop on the hero image on my home page.
    I have tried images that are 1440×422 as recommended, 2880 px wide, cropped to exactly the padding size of 882×268, the aspect ratio you recommend of 3.43×1, and just uploading the full image at 4288×2848. Nothing is working.
    I understand that it resizes for different screen sizes/etc, but is there any way to get the full width of my image to show? Custom CSS to stop the auto-cropping maybe?

    The blog I need help with is: deepruntestsite.wordpress.com

    Here is a screen shot. This image of the child playing the piano is a lot wider and is more in focus when not auto-zoomed in and cropped.

    Hi there,

    As you can see, on a larger screen the zoom is way too close, when you make the window smaller you can see more of the image, but we need to consistently be able to see the same amount of image on all devices/screen sizes.

    I have also included a link to the original image:

    Please advise on how I can fix this. Code to cancel the auto zoom/crop would be preferred. Thank you!

    The original image dimension is 4288×2848</strongpx, which way to high, the ration of width and heighth doesn’t match with Hero Wrapper.

    Would you mind to reupload this image with reduced dimensions? Around 1440×432px would work fine.

    Have a nice day, Cheers!

    Yes, I have tried that, I have included another screenshot here to confirm, that does not work.
    The screenshot below is when I make the featured image exactly 1440×432 as instructed. It is still zooming in way too much. How can I code it to cancel the auto zoom/crop?

    For anyone else who might be having this issue, WordPress support suggested to use the following code:

    .hero .site-header { position: relative; }

    And it worked for me!
