    Hi Ricardo,

    Long time! Hope that all is well for you and Happy new year!!

    Still really happy with “Christopher” however I started to change certain things for 2019.

    I have 3 request and 1 issue.

    The issue first:

    I changed to show the full date on top of the post. I changed the size of the color square around the date. It works fine except for 5 posts where the color square is empty (no date in it). Could you have a look on it please.

    Also if you can provide me a solution for this if possible:

    1- allow to change the color of the site title and tagline independently of the color palette.

    2- allow to have the background color of the big quote identical of the one of the site

    3- allow to show more than 10 posts per page in category

    here my actual css for info

    .entry-header .entry-meta {
    display: none !important;
    }

    @media (min-width: 1350px) {
    .single .entry-thumbnail {
    width: calc(100vw – 30px);
    margin-right: calc((100vw – 1170px) / -2);
    margin-left: calc((100vw – 1170px) / -2);
    }

    .single .entry-thumbnail img {
    max-width: 1800px;
    width: 100%;
    }

    .single .hentry {
    overflow: visible;
    }
    }

    .single .entry-thumbnail img {
    max-width: 1800px;
    width: 100%;
    }

    .single .hentry {
    overflow: visible;
    }
    }

    .widget_christopher_quote .quote-text p,
    .widget_christopher_quote p.quote-author {
    font-size: 14px;
    line-height: 1;
    }

    @media (min-width: 590px) {
    .widget_christopher_quote .quote-text p,
    .widget_christopher_quote p.quote-author {
    font-size: 15px;
    }
    }

    @media (min-width: 768px) {
    .widget_christopher_quote .quote-text p,
    .widget_christopher_quote p.quote-author {

    }
    }

    @media (min-width: 992px) {
    .widget_christopher_quote .quote-text p,
    .widget_christopher_quote p.quote-author {
    font-size: 25px;
    }
    }

    .entry-meta-date {
    width: 80px !importan;
    height: 60px !important;
    margin-top: 0;
    margin-bottom: 0;

    }

    .entry-meta-date span.day, .entry-meta-date span.mon {

    Hello Philippe,
    thank you for writing, hope you are well.

    About the issue with dates, it’s very strange. We have not been able to reproduce this issue in our side. Reading about the WordPress function the theme uses to show the date, in some strange cases it can not work if there are more than a post with the same date.

    Could you please check if your empty-date posts are siblings published in the same day? In case this was true, could you change the date of one of them to one day after or before (a day without post published) in order to check if this is the problem? If yes, please let us know in order to contact WordPress team to update that function. Thank you!

    About your petitions:

    1. Change the site title and tagline color. Add this CSS with your own color code:

    #page .site-title a, #page .site-description {
        color: #ffffff;
    }
    #page .site-description:before, #page .site-description:after {
        background-color: #ffffff;
    }

    2. Change Quote Widget background to transparent:

    #page .widget_christopher_quote {
        background-color: transparent;
    }

    3. The number of posts is managed by this option: “Blog pages show at most” in Reading Setting page: https://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/reading-settings/

    However, this affects not only to category pages but to tag and search results pages. All of them show the same number of posts regarding this option.

    Unfortunately WordPress does not have an easy way to difference between them.

    Hope this helps :)

    Hi Ricardo,

    thank you for your usual quick answer.

    The post with the date issue are all from the same day. Change the day do not solve the problem.

    Here is the list of the post concerned:

    Sorry guys, but today it’s my turn!

    Also please not that this post Billingham Hadley Pro review in the Caribbean was in format “image”. I changed it to standard to see. But now it is no image option anymore to put it back in this format.

    Strange. Hope that you will be able to figured out those issue with wordpress. Hope also that tey will be able to solve this without losing the stats of the posts.

    Concerning the change of the site title and tagline color the css works. Thank you! However could it be possible to keep the highlight when we pass the pouse over it?

    The css for the big quote is perfect!

    Thanks again and hope that you will be able to find some solution for me.

    Best regards,
    Philippe

    Hello Philippe,

    thank you for the detailed info, it helps a lot :)
    Yes, it is a very strange issue.

    About the CSS for the title over state, add this:

    #page .site-title a:hover {
        color: #cf3310;
    }

    Finally, I am going to add a WP member staff in order to help us to deal with the date issue. Details for them are:

    – Date is not being shown in single post view when there are other posts published the same day:
    Sorry guys, but today it’s my turn!

    – We have tried to reproduce the issue in our sandbox, but having some posts in the same day do not produce this error.

    – The function used is “christopher_entry_date()” located in /inc/template-tags.php line 175

    Thank you Philippe.
    Waiting for WP Staff Member answer.

    Best,
    Ricardo P.

    Thank you for tagging us on this @ricardpriet!

    I did some digging, and it looks to be related to some code in the theme, but only when paired with really specific circumstances. I’ve created a ticket for it — #7161 — that explains it in more detail. Once that code is tweaked in the theme, this issue should be resolved!

    Just let me know if you have any questions about the above!
