Help Me Out Here .
I’m close after hours and I mean hours trying to make this site work. Are audio post comprised of MP3 playlist, embeds, attachments…which one? Is there a naming convention for the MP3. Do graphic sizes have to be exact…Is the homepage top player really working? This is a lovely site. Help me make it work. I want to use it for podcast. I have read…re-read and tried every option that I’m aware of. I get close to the point the homepage player recognizes the feature album( podcast) and list the tracks, and animates but will not play. I’ve gone as far as to delete every audio file, and re-upload just a few.

Have you reviewed our theme documentation: https://theme.wordpress.com/themes/album/support/ ? This explains the setup of the album pages, how to add music to get the players working (yours appear to be working when I view your site), image dimensions, and so on.
and you respond “(yours appear to be working when I view your site),” …well then did you hit the toggle to play and in doing so hear the “appears” to be working audio? No. Isn’t that the point.
Look, I don’t want to burden you with having to further cut and paste…so could you just point me to someone who is successfully running this theme on WordPress.com…perhaps they might be willing to help…
I wouldn’t have said that your player appears to be working if it wasn’t working. If you review line 154 of your page source you’ll see a valid link to the mp3 that you added to the album player. If you visit it directly then it should play. I’ve tested the source file and your home page in Internet Explorer, Chrome, Opera, Firefox, Safari, and Vivaldi (and distro-specific variants, e.g. Iceweasel) on OSX (10.10.3), Win8.1 and Linux (Mint), and I haven’t experienced any issues.
So, if the player isn’t working for you then I will need you to tell me:
– OS and version you’re experiencing the problem in
– Browser(s) tested with
– Device (if applicable)
– Confirmation that the issue occurs in the demo (albumdemo.wordpress.com)
Otherwise, I’m afraid we’re going to be working together for the rest of this ticket, so let’s try to get off to a good start and things will hopefully go smoothly. I understand that you’ve been spending hours trying to work this out, but please keep in mind that I am a person too, and frustration isn’t an excuse for being rude to the person who wants to help you.

Me yelling on your forum that your theme didn’t work after trying it for ten minutes or so.
Which is why I worked with it for days and on two sites, (I have unlimited premium themes and can go back and forth,) all the while checking this forum daily to see if others were having any problems and fixes were proffered. No chatter. No nothing.
I worked the theme with your docs page opened. I nailed the required pages. I tested MP3’s. I deleted audio. I re-uploaded. I created audio post after audio post in every and all configuration I could imagine. I even cleared the browser cache. Repeatedly. And it didn’t work, at least not for me, not then. So then and only then did I note a difficulty. And I pointed to those particulars on this post. Specifics. And your reply.

Rude? or not ….somethings happening to this theme…somebody hit a toggle…could have been me…could have been you… but the theme is beginning to work, maybe one of those happiness engineers, what da ya think… threw a switch…and that’s what I’m going to do….switch to another template…self hosted. I can be rude on themeforrest…just funning.

If the theme is beginning to work for you, then that’s great :) But it sounds like you’re interested in switching to another template, which I completely understand given the difficulty you’ve been having. If that’s the route you want to go, then you have 30 days from the date of purchase to request a refund for your Album theme purchase. I’m also going to mark this resolved, as it doesn’t appear that you are interested in pursuing support. If you are interested then feel free to follow up or open a new thread — please make sure to provide the information I requested in my previous reply.
