Help Creating Single Post Audio Player to play Single Song

I’m having some trouble figuring out how to put an audio player into a post. I’m trying to just have one singular song that plays using the soundcheck audio player embedded within a blogpost (AKA you can only play it when you open the post).

Here are the instructions you give:

    1 Create/Edit a post and give it a title.
2 Select the Audio post format.
3 Upload one or more MP3 audio files to the Posts gallery (NOT via the Media menu).
4 Set a featured image to be used for the Album artwork.

Steps 1 and 2 are very straightforward – no problems there. However, step 3 is where I get stuck. Where is this upload system that is not the media menu? Is that the little folder+music icon that’s just to the right of the “Upload/Insert” text above the post text area? It says “Add Media”, which sounds an awful lot like a Media Menu.

This is the only thing I’ve found and the only thing I’ve tried – However, I still have not been able to add a song into my post using your player. (and I have the space upgrade, so that is not the issue).

Could you please detail the steps that one needs to take in order to add a song to a post? Unfortunately the current steps aren’t quite detailed enough for me…

The blog I need help with is:

Yes, you will want to click on the “Upload/Insert” icon above the text editor and add media from the Media popup box. When I say not via the “Media menu”, I mean do not go to the Media menu item of the WordPress admin and upload your files as they will not be attached to the post.

Can you think of a better way to phrase this? I think it could be more clear but “Media menu” is all I came up with :)
