    Hi Fred,

    You can reduce the white space between the header and content below with Custom CSS. For example:

    body .site-branding {
    	padding-bottom: 30px;
    }

    @media (min-width: 701px) {
    	body .site-branding {
    		margin-bottom: -40px;
    	}
    }

    Let me know how this works out for you?

    Thank you for your answer Leland.
    CSS is new for me, Leland (the lay-out for smartphone and for I-pad is ‘top’, but not for pc)

    Other question: how can I make a two colum page on my portfolio page?

    many thanks

    Don’t quite follow what you’re saying here. Are you not happy with the header size in the CSS I posted above? If so, let me know and I’ll see what I can do to adjust more to your liking.

    Other question: how can I make a two colum page on my portfolio page?

    Okay, so we could use Custom CSS here too but I think it would be a better idea to use WordPress.com’s built-in tools for this.

    I see you’re using a series of image blocks, although you could use a gallery block and set the number of columns to 2. More info here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/wordpress-editor/blocks/gallery-block/#columns

    Since this is something that applies to all WordPress.com sites (not just those using the Spatial theme) you could contact WordPress.com support about creating gallery blocks with columns. I’m just the theme author and should only be helping with theme-specific issues. :)

    Live chat support is probably the best way. More info here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/live-chat/

    Regards,
    Leland

    It looks like you are already using the gallery block with columns on this page: https://efbeo.blog/portret/

    I would just repeat the process (with 2 columns instead of 4) on this page: https://efbeo.blog/portfolio-3/

    Thank you for your answers.

    If I use more columns, I can not create a ‘link’ to each image… That’s why I use a ‘single’ image block…

    The font size of the header, it would be nice that i can make it a little bit smaller, my ego is not that great… :-)

    Ah, I understand. I would still confirm it’s not possible with WordPress.com Live Chat Support just to be sure because ideally this would be handled in the blocks. But just in case it’s not, let me provide some Custom CSS to make that two columns…

    .page-id-9036 .entry-content .wp-block-image.is-resized {
      display: block;
      float: left;
    }

    .page-id-9036 .wp-block-image:nth-child(odd),
    .page-id-9036 #jp-post-flair {
      clear: left;
    }

    .page-id-9036 .wp-block-image:nth-child(odd) {
      margin-right: 30px;
    }

    @media (max-width: 480px) {
      .page-id-9036 .entry-content .wp-block-image {
        width: calc(50% - 15px);
      }
    }

    body .site-title { font-size: 40px; }

    Let me know how this works out for you?
