MemberIs there anyway that you can either provide a link to the image or more details about it, size, format, color mode etc?
Thanks
I’m using it on WordPress.com. It’s in jpeg format, and I uploaded it, and several others, on the Header page in Appearances/Header. None of the pics I uploaded show up.

MemberThere are actually two places where the header can be set so make sure to try them both.
1. There’s of course Appearance > Header.
2. But there’s also Appearance > Customize > Header.
Thanks
I tried both and neither one worked. Stumped!!

MemberIt’s confirmed working, you can even see another Delight user using it here:
So, I might be stumped too.
Can you upload the image somewhere like http://imgur.com/ so that you can share the link?
Thanks
I uploaded the original on flickr. I uploaded it to Appearance/Header and cropped it to size, of course.
Hope this helps. I did see the uploaded header on the other site. It looks good and hope to be able to do this too.
One other thing. I have the wordpress premium customize thingy; don’t know if this makes a difference.
Thanks, bhadawaybhadaway
MemberI’m going to have to check with development on this.
Thank you for your patience and hold tight please.
Ok!

StaffHi there, have you tried uploading an image that is at least 1800 × 400 pixels, as specified under Appearance > Header:
https://selenaswords.wordpress.com/wp-admin/themes.php?page=custom-header
The largest version of the Flickr image you provided above is only 1024 X 981:
Let me know how it goes with an image at least 1800 × 400 and we’ll take it from there. Thanks!

StaffAh – scratch that, I just looked at one of your already-uploaded header images and see that it’s the right size. Let me do some further testing and I’ll get back to you!

StaffHi again, there appears to be a technical glitch on our end. I’ve added some custom CSS as a temporary workaround and your starry-sky image is now showing.
We’ll let you know when a more permanent fix is in place, but for now the CSS does the trick.

MemberGood to hear.
Hey! I’ve been offline for awhile. Thanks for all your help.
I’m wondering if I change the header will the CSS work for that as well?
Thanks again.

StaffHi there, you can adapt the current CSS to point the file path to your new image. The current CSS looks like this:
#masthead { background-image: url('http://selenaswords.files.wordpress.com/2013/12/cropped-mcnaught_druckmuller.jpg'); background-size: 100% 100%; background-position: 50% 50%; background-repeat: no-repeat; }
You’d just need to change this URL:
…to your new image file. You can grab the new image URL in your Media Library by copy-pasting it out of the File URL field at the top right.
For example, for this file:
https://selenaswords.wordpress.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=4159&action=edit
…here’s where you’d copy-paste out the file URL:
Just let me know if you need further help!
