Header image changes on som epages but not all
I woud like to have my feature image be the header image on my menu pages. Is that possible? I was able to change some in the CSS (with hlpe from support) for the bog post but the title is not exactly the same. Thanks!
The blog I need help with is styledbykathrynm.com.
Added: half of my pages have their own header image which pulls from their feature image; Services, “Who is Kathryn, and Testimonals. The other three pages; Blog, Instagram and Conact have the header image that is pulling from Header Image section in the Customize window, not the feature image that should be the header.
You should be able to assign a featured image to your Instagram and Contact pages for this to display in the header. For the blog page however, the image set under the Header Image in Customize will always display here. I’m afraid it’s not possible to adjust this as it would require editing the templates.
there was a work around for the blog image through CSS which is just “ok” since the font isnt perfect but I will leave that alone. I still can not get the feature image to appear as the header on my page called “portfolio” it is also pulling the site title as the title, not “Portfolio”…?
The Portfolio page works similar to how the blog page works, pulling the header image in the customize section. You would need to use the same CSS (modifying it to match your portfolio page) in order to overwrite the header image.
The reason why your Portfolio page is showing the site tagline instead of the title ‘Portfolio’, is because it is pulling your index of ‘Portfolio Custom Post Types’. You’ll want to either edit the slug for your page so it’s something other than just ‘portfolio’ or rename your page Projects or something similar. If you edit your slug, you can still keep the same page title but your URL will be something like ‘https://styledbykathrynm.com/projects’.
That did it!! Thank you so mcuh!
Glad to help! :) Let me know if there’s anything else.
