    Hi all,

I am looking to add a much larger header image to this site:

    http://rtwnj.wordpress.com

Is this possible? The header image limit seems quite small.

    Thank you

    Hi Rob,

Thanks for reaching out!! I’m happy to help!

The header image dimensions are 385×102. When uploading a custom header image, it can be less than 385 pixels wide and less than 102 pixels tall but never wider or taller than the maximum dimensions.

Let me know if you have any other questions.
    Have a great weekend!

I was hoping that I could use a bigger banner about 800×102. I really like the theme – but find the small image very limiting. Is it possible to add CSS to change this?

    Hi Rob,

There’s not a way to really do this currently. Technically, it is built so that you could change the CSS to make the header image width whatever you like. But, the reason you wouldn’t want to do that is because when you add an image to the header it is cropped to a width of 385px. So if you did write CSS to make it wider that would upscale and blur the image and it wouldn’t look good.

The header image can’t be full width because there is also a Search box and social menu (if you add it) in the header. An alternative could be to setup the Featured Slider for the site and put the banner in there.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.
    Have a great day!
