    Hi,

I love the theme, but for some reason the header doesn’t show propperly. I have tried deleting the menu’s and resetting them, I have tried using a different theme and then come back to this one. I have removed all the additional CSS, but nothing seems to work. Can you help?

The blog I need help with is miekeats.wpcomstaging.com.

    Hi there,

It looks like substantial portions of the CSS and JavaScript are not loading.

That’s not something my theme would have control over, so I’m not sure how I could help.

    A few questions:

    1) Do similar issues happen with other themes?

    2) Have you tried deactivating plugins to ensure there is not a conflict occurring?

    I would start with AMP-related features: https://wordpress.com/support/amp-accelerated-mobile-pages/

I see a lot of references in your code about AMP, which I don’t see on the working demo site: https://spatialdemo.wordpress.com/

Not saying that’s definitely the cause of the issue, just something I noted.

    3) Could you inquire with WordPress.com support for their insights?

To clarify, I am just the theme author, not a WordPress.com employee so my ability to help and glean insights for general platform issues is limited.

More info on contacting WordPress.com support can be found here: https://wordpress.com/support/help-support-options/

I haven’t seen anything like this before, so I’d definitely be curious to hear what the issue was.

I believe it must be some sort of conflict with a third-party (from the perspective the theme) plugin or platform feature.

I wish you the best of luck and I hope this points you in the right direction.

    Best regards,
    Leland

We got it! It took two WordPress employees to find it. Apparantly I checked a box somewhere which activates not using the themes original CSS. NEVER AGAIN.

    Thank you for your response!

Hmm, I didn’t even know that was an option! Is this a feature from the WordPress.com platform, or a plugin you were using?

I’m curious just in case this comes up again from someone else, so I know where to point to resolve.

Anyway, thanks so much for the update!

I’m so glad to hear this is resolved. Your site looks great!

If you have any other questions about the theme, feel free to open a new topic and I’ll take a look!

    Best regards,
    Leland

It’s part of WordPress. In “Customize” under Additional CSS, below the CSS window there is a little “Start Fresh” option. Never realised I activated that.
