    All in the title: can we change the title / menu/ slogan colour?

    I tried to change the white to a darker colour, because I chose a light green colour for my header…

    I would like a dark grey shade to get some contrast, and would like to be able to change it to other colours, whenever I feel like having a darker header…

    Is that possible?

    Thank you again for your help.

    The blog I need help with is catherinecuisine.com.

    again – this would need the custom css editor. The following code should do the trick:

    .masthead .branding h1.logo a, .masthead .branding h1.logo a:hover, .masthead .branding h2.description {
    color:#999;
    }

    You can change this css any time to get a different colour.

    Thank you! And could this header be completely removed? Since I wrote you the first message, I realized that my personalized banner (just under the green header) is quite enough… I would take off the green header (or would leave a thin green line, about 3 mm large) with no text….

    sure can:

    .branding {
    display:none;
    }

    you might want to add the following to center your menu as well:

    .masthead .menu {
    width:100%;
    text-align:center;
    }

    How did you get the picture accompanying your posts to be the size of the whole column instead of just a small photo to the left on this site, catherinecuisine?

    Hello Amymarie! It is very easy to do… Before you publish a post, go to the “visibility” options. Check “public” and select the first visibility option. My WordPress options being in French, I don’t know the exact English term for this, it is probably something like “sticky post” or “up front” or something that says that you want the post to be the first one that appears on your blog to give it a good visibility. You also have to select a feature image, of course. The post will be the first to appear, and its feature image will automatically be the whole column. If you do that for all your posts, all your images will be enlarged, and your publications will appear in chronological order. Good luck to you!

    Thanks for explaining this Catherine! :) You’re absolutely right – the term is ‘Sticky Post’ in English. There’s info on it here:

    my pleasure Binarymoon! The enlarged feature image / sticky post option makes the blog so much better looking for our theme :)
