Grid/List view – Can I set 'List' view as default for my blog page?

    Hi,

I recently purchased the Ubud theme on WordPress.com. I would like to know if it’s possible for me to change my blog page’s view from a ‘Grid’ to a ‘List’ by default (rather than having to manually click to change the view). I have Category pages set up on my site too, but I want these pages to stay as a ‘Grid’ view by default to showcase the pictures. However, for my blog page, I need the writing to stand out, not the pictures.

Can this be done? (Note: My website is not public yet.)

    Many thanks.

    Hi there,

I’m so sorry for replying a little late to you here. Unfortunately this is not a possible option in the Ubud theme here on WordPress.com. It would only be possible with a self-hosted WordPress site, since you could customize the theme template file there.

I’m so sorry that I could not help you, I hope you still like the Ubud theme!
    Best, Ellen

Hi Ellen, my blog is https://timelockin.wordpress.com/ and I´m flying with your lovely Ubud theme. And have a question about the grid and list view. When I change from the normal grid view to the list view and open an article the design is flipping very inaccurate. Photos from the left to the right site and tittle and tags inaccurate from the right to left site over the photos. Is this a feature or a bug :-)? I have tested it with Chrome and IE.

    Best

    Timo
