I have read the forums over and still can’t seem to employ the grid template on my home page. I’ve changed in under the Page Attributes and it still does not appear similar to the the Didi template. My test blogs are only aligning vertically. What am I missing?
I’m not sure if this is part of the problem but additionally, when I attempt to customize and reach the Front Page First Block widget, it is not an option.
The blog I need help with is quittervsbossy.com.
thank you for using our theme.
Our theme demo uses a front page template for the homepage and not the grid template.
You can find more about setting up the theme to look like in the demo here: https://wordpress.com/theme/didi/setup – part “Creating your front page”
Front page first block will show just if you are using a front page template for your homepage and when you are on the homepage.
Hope this helps.
All the best,
Bah! I’m not sure what I’m missing. I believe I added a test front page template (it shows in preview, then I update, but when I look up the site adding in the URL on my own, it doesn’t…delay?) but am still not getting to select “Front Page First Block” as one of my widgets. I’ve lost track about the amount of time I’ve read the demo page (ha!). Help!
can you please navigate to your Customize page and at that moment you need to be on your home/static page to be able to see the Front Page First Block inside the Widgets.
When you are on your front page/home page and open the Customizer > Widgets you’ll need to see Sidebar, Front Page First Block, Front Page Second Block, Footer Widgets 1, Footer Widgets 2 & Footer Widgets 3. Let me know if you can see it?
All the best,
