    Hello,

    finally i fixed all the first problems by myself, but now i cannot find a solution for this problem:

    I have selected a post block page as my homepage ( https://hallobaby.blog/ ), but now it only shows my four newest posts. I would like to have all my recent posts on the homepage in such a nice layout.
    So, i found in one of the last posts the answer that the homepage should be set to “Grid page template”. But this template does no seem to be available in my settings.

    Can you help me how to make the homepage more attractive by showing all recent posts not only in a long chronological list? Thank you very much!!

    Cheers,
    Hauke

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi Hauke – thanks for reaching out. Sorry about the delay in getting back to you! Unfortunately the Post Block section is hard-coded in the theme to only show your 4 latest posts, and this cannot be changed without editing the php of the actual theme directly. If you do that, you would overwrite it every time you update the theme when we push out new updates.

    I would actually recommend that you NOT show all of your posts anyway, as this will not be a great reader experience and will make your home page VERY long to scroll through when a user is viewing your site on a mobile device. For mobile, it is a best practice to only show a few posts on the home page and let someone click to your full blog page if they want to view them all. This is why the theme is coded this way in the first place.

    Hope that helps!

    Thank you for your response and the help (i am not in a hurry…).
    So, i will leave it like that. Fine for me!

    But another question occured today when i was checking the website on different devices.

    On my computer (with Firefox and Chrome) the Top Navigation Menu is transparent, the dropdown menu hast a light baby blue background so you can read easily the dropdown menus.

    But when i check the page on my iPhone with Safari all the menus, even the dropdown menu, are transparent – hardly to read – which is not intended to be like that.
    Can you help me? Why does Safari not show the changed dropdown menu colour although i keep refreshing the page?
    Thank you in advance and sorry for all the questions…

    Hauke – by default, the menu is darker with a lower opacity so that it is see-through. Did you change the default colors of the menu?

    Yes, i did change the colours of the menu to have a smoother design for the whole page.

    I have no knowledge of CSS, so this is what i figured out (by reading Google results) and how i changed the website. It works perfectly on any system, even on my iPad – but with the iPhone the old colour scheme remains active. Strange…

    Here are the CSS changes:

    .navbar-inverse {
    background-color: #bdc6f4;
    border-color: #baaaaa;
    }

    .navbar-inverse .navbar-nav > li > a {
    color: #595986;
    }

    .navbar-inverse.black,
    .navbar-inverse {
    background: #fff
    }

    .navbar-inverse .navbar-nav > .active > a,
    .navbar-inverse .navbar-nav > .active > a:hover,
    .navbar-inverse .navbar-nav > .active > a:focus {
    background: #bdc6f4;
    }

    .navbar-inverse .navbar-nav > li > a:hover,
    .navbar-inverse .navbar-nav > li > a:focus {
    color: #fff;
    }

    .navbar-inverse {
    background: rgba(0,0,0,0.06);
    }

    .dropdown-menu {
    background: #e4e8fb;
    }

    .dropdown-menu > li > a, .navbar-nav > li > a {
    color: #595986;
    }

    .dropdown-menu > .active > a, .dropdown-menu > .active > a:hover, .dropdown-menu > .active > a:focus {
    background-color: #bdc6f4;
    }

    .navbar-inverse .navbar-nav > .open > a, .navbar-inverse .navbar-nav > .open > a:hover, .navbar-inverse .navbar-nav > .open > a:focus {
    background-color: #bdc6f4;
    color: #595986;
    }

    .dropdown-menu a:hover {
    background: #595986 !important;
    color: #fff !important;
    }

    .navbar-inverse .navbar-nav > li > a:hover, .navbar-inverse .navbar-nav > li > a:focus {
    color: #595986;
    }

    #archive-header {display: none;}
