Getting the post title to overlap the feature image

Apologies if this doesn’t make much sense.

I am in the process of ‘revamping’ my blog. As part of this, I am switching from Baskerville to Label. All has gone fine. I have noticed, however, that for some of the posts on the home page the title overlaps the feature image but for others, the title is under the feature image. My guess is that this is due to the size of the feature image. If this is the case, what image dimensions are needed to ensure that the title cuts into the title image? If this is not the case, what can I do to ensure this? I am keen for consistency. Thank you in advance for your help.

    Hi there

For the entry info to overlap the image you need three things to be true.

    1) The post format has to be a regular post. Image, and other post formats will not overlap.
    2) The image has to be landscape. ie it has to be wider than it is tall. Probably around 10 to 20% wider would be ideal.
    3) The image needs to be wider than 600 pixels.
