Gaps between thumbnails in Portfolio grid

    Hello,

Thank you for Hyalite — it’s a really nice theme.

I’m running it on my portfolio website. I have a top menu with links to portfolio types (I have four). On one of my pages (‘Paintings’), there are random breaks in the grid.

You can see it here (the 10th and 17th images) :

It looks like there are 3 distinct sets that these thumbnails are divided into. I’m not sure why this is. Strangely, this problem does not exist on the homepage, which is also a grid.

Any idea how I might be able to get rid of these gaps?

Thank you for your help :)

Thanks, I’m glad you’re liking the theme; I use it on my personal site too :)

It looks like those breaks in the grid are caused by Infinite Scroll. When loading new posts, it wraps them in a new element, which causes the group of grid items to have a break. I think this can be resolved by changing the number of posts that should load per page to 9. Here is where you can find that settings:

    1. Go to My Sites in the Admin Bar.
    2. Go to WP Admin
    3. Go to Settings
    4. Go to Reading
    5. Change “Blog pages show at most” to 9.

    Hello,

    Thank you for your reply.

Yes, it does indeed look like infinite scroll is to blame. Strangely, changing the number to 9 (a multiple of 3?) does not seem to be working…

The thumbnails are contained in two div levels, the first containing “.stretch-wide” and “.clearfix” and the second one, “.block-grid”.

The second set also has an “.infinite-wrap” class, if that’s of any help.

    Any other ideas?

Thank you again for your help.

    4. Go to Writing
    5. Change the Portfolio Project settings on that page to 9
