I would like to have only the most current blog post shown in full. I do NOT want older posts to follow the current post immediately after it (or, if they do, they should just be excerpts or other pointers to the older posts.)
I could not find a way to do this except to change WP ADMIN / SETTINGS / READING / “Blog pages show at most
1 posts” . This doesn’t work — perhaps it it preempted by the theme settings?
Help?

Thanks!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
Hi,
If you set the homepage shows latest posts (under Settings > Reading), then what you did is correct.
However, there’s a better way to do that: Under Settings > Reading, set the front page show a static page. Then you can enter your content in that page to show on the homepage. No posts will be shown.
However, if you do this way, you also need to:
– Update the static page when you have updated content
– And add a link to a Blog page to let people read all your blog posts.
For more details, please see this docs:
Thanks!! WordPress folks suggested turning off the InfinityLoop which also works.
I’ll read your link too!
