Front Page Widgets Formatting

    Hi, I have a few questions since the tutorial video uses an older version of the site editor, and I can’t seem to find some of the tools:

    1. In the “Live Demo” of the theme, the second, third and fourth posts (eg. Getting Ready for a Creative Day) are previewed on the front page with the featured image on the left and the text on the right. How can I make my posts appear this way?

    2. How can I add widgets such as the large text quote? I’ve clicked under the “Widgets” tab, and the only options to add widgets are to the footer – nothing for the front page.

    3. Is there a way to change the “READ MORE” link so that it is not all capitals?

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi there,

    1. this are the default posts on the front page (below the sticky posts, if you added any). But the layout of the posts changes a little bit, depending on the screen size. On smaller desktop screens the layout is shown as you described it, then on bigger screens (e.g. a 15′ laptop) the layout of the posts changes to show the image above the text.

    I hope I described it correctly.

    2. You need to be on the specific page (aka the Front page) to see the widgets that can only be added on this specific page. So if you set the “Static Page” in the Customizer to your Front page than the widget options should appear. Please let me know, if this is not solving the issue.

    3. Yes, if you have the Custom CSS option, you can add the following CSS:

    a.more-link, {
        text-transform: none;

    I hope my answers are helpful.
    Best, Ellen
