Formatting tables with linked images

    I am curious as to whether there is a better alternative to placing a gallery of images containing links to other galleries than a table in Minimum.

    As you will see in http://mbweightlifting.net/gallery/ , the layout looks very “clunky”, for lack of a better term, and if I am to use tables for this purpose, how might I rid the table layout of the faint grey background in the “cells”?

    I have the CSS upgrade though am relatively new to altering themes.

    Thanks in advance

    Would you like to remove the grey background from the css layout that is already used?

    IF you used tables, you would have to construct the HTML for the whole page your self in the Page editor.

    Unless there is another alternative to placing captioned images which function as links to other pages (in this case, to other event galleries), I think I am obliged to using tables as are shown in the link above.

    If there is another more eloquent solution, I am all ears. If not, I would like to know how to make these tables transparent, or in other words, white on a white background.

    Thank you for the reply.

    In the custom css window, place this:

    .entry-content tr:nth-child(odd) td {
    background: #fff;
    }
